Ch-Paa-Qn Peak - October 9, 2021

Leader:  Elizabeth Smith Moore & girls

Participants: Astrid Moore (13), Campbell Moore (9), Christy Knuchel, Brynlee Knuchel (9)

The five of us met at the Wye at 8:30am then caravanned to the trailhead past the Nine Mile Ranger Station.  When we started up the trail at about 10:15 am it was still quite chilly, but perfectly clear!  We settled on a steady pace up the trail until we reached the cairn and flag just below the boulder covered summit.  One of the kids feared the exposure and the wind during this top section so we took our time making it to the summit.  Once at the top we had a lunch huddled behind a little rock structure out of the whipping wind and took in the view before heading back down.

I so enjoyed the day with my girls and our friends.  Blue bird fall day enjoying the finest things in life! 7 miles & 2,000 ft elevation gain.
