TRM Cabin Weekend- February 13-16, 2026

 This was the second of two “Club” cabin weekends and it was a good one.  This winter has mostly been a dismal one, but we lucked into stellar ski conditions all weekend.  The approach left a bit to be desired: we had to hike to, or beyond, the summer trailhead (about 1800’ and two miles from the gate).  Even then things are really thin until about 6500’.  At and above the cabin, however, snowpack is decent. Additionally, we had a couple inches on Friday night, 5-6 more on Saturday night, and then it snowed most of the day on Sunday. Excellent powder!

Jeff was first to arrive on Friday and even got a lap in up high.  Elizabeth and Forest arrived at 6:30- Megan an hour later.  Q came up first thing Saturday morning and Erin later that afternoon.  We skied both the “north” an “south” bowls (east facing) several times each and found good snow everywhere.  Lots of fun and smiles! Cabin life was its usual fun time with good conversation, eating, drinking, music, etc.

Erin, Elizabeth and Forest headed back down on Sunday afternoon. Jeff, Megan and Q couldn’t resist another night and got more sunshiny turns in on Monday morning before heading down as well.  Forest Dean
